Project Description

I worked on this concept art piece off and on over the course of about 8 months, if I remember correctly. I was working on my Samsung tablet in the Sketchbook Pro mobile app, which is really nice for sketching and drawing, I’m not sure I’m thrilled with it for painting and special effects type stuff, but it will do in a pinch. This character is one of several I have in mind for a poorly defined, future project, which so far simply amounts to “cool animal themed armor-wearing dudes and dudettes”. I’m not sure it needs to be more than that. The inspiration came from wanting to make some leather armor for myself and family to wear at a local Renaissance fair. I’ll likely never have time to do that, since I’d also have to acquire some tools, develop some skills, and oh yeah, leather is expensive. I’ll still dream about it, though.
