Project Description

This is a bit of concept art for the post-apocalyptic graphic novel I’ve been puttering away at for a decade and a half now. The warrior is from a culture of people who raise and develop close bonds with their “pets”, making them a formidable force in battle. This particular warrior was supposed to be one of the last of his kind, his people being wiped out by the remnants of mankind that clung to and relied on technology to survive. He is starring down at the “hub” of civilization responsible. This character and the story around him has changed since I drew this (including his gender), I’m looking forward to developing this further when I’ve got more time.

While I was digging through old sketch books looking for Plunger Monkey drawings, I stumbled across some of the preparatory sketches I did for this image.
