INKTOBER 52 2023 Day #2: PUPPET.

Okay, a bit literal, but, how fun? This image gives rise to all kinds of deep questions about who is actually running the show in my Brain. Like so many in my generation, the Muppets and the creative geniuses behind them were a ubiquitous presence on television and movies (including movies that weren’t specifically “Muppets”. Yoda, anyone?) throughout my youth, and really my whole life. I have lots of fond memories playing with puppets as a kid (I specifically remember a brown, shaggy dog with floppy ears and an orange belt, for some reason), making a pterodactyl puppet for a class assignment with my mom (I need to see if I still have that somewhere), and even entertaining my own kids with puppets when they were younger (I used to use them in particular to try to wake up my middle son for school. There was a deranged fire fighter who kept making loud siren noises and saw fires everywhere, as well as King Smacksalot…you can guess what he was famous for). Maybe someday there will be a pair of PMD and Toby puppets on the market…
