Overall I’m pretty pleased with all 3 finished panels in this strip. Hulk PMD’s little sign cracks me up for no logical reason. I decided to stray from my detail obsession a little by employing some silhouettes in that last panel. They can be used to great effect, and texturing all those tacos was getting a bit too tedious and time consuming. I draw influence from a great variety of artists and styles, it’s an interesting process trying to condense them down into my own unique “voice”. That third panel is finally where I broke down and created my custom speed line brushes. They are so fun and simple to use, it’s hard not to overdo it. They show up in the “KAPOW”, too.
