No need for a double take, I do appear to have missed 2008 in my line of hand made Mother’s Day cards for my wife. I’m not sure how this happened, I hope I had a really good reason, but I can’t figure out what it would have been. My wife wants to think I did make a card that year, but we can’t find it. However I can’t even recall what it would have looked like, and I remember making each of the rest of the cards and what scenario the dragon boys were in even without having seen the cards since I made them. Lame of me. At this point, as the stay at home dad, these cards were really the only piece of finished art I was making each year. I avoided the brush tip pens on this one because I was lacking the confidence, so I stuck with the fine points and the greyscale Prismacolor markers. The kids are all sporting their home-made blankies, courtesy of mom. This is a card that would have benefited from color, as they each have their own beautiful color. My wife is a very talented knitter.
