Project Description

The eighth Mother’s Day card for the wifey, for this year I was really aiming to capture their spirits and put them in a situation that represents something we do as a family: ski and snowboard. I started using more photo reference to inform how I drew their faces, trying to get their little details like the way they smile or how many missing teeth they had that year. All their gear is based on my kids’ actual gear, too. Brush and fine point pens with those Prismacolor greyscale markers on water color paper.
