Project Description

The tenth edition of Toby’s Annual Hand-drawn (despite being exclusively a digital artist at this point) Mother’s Day card. On the heels of the 2012 and 2013 cards where I was trying to capture some element of family life or a family activity, I chose to put the dragon kids up on top of some mountain, as we are a very avid hiking family. Still trying to represent our boys’ individual looks and personalities, hence the youngest and his hiking pole horns, which is totally the kind of thing he does in pictures. I keep toying with the idea of going back to color cards, but this is once again brush and fine point pens and Prismacolor greyscale markers on water color paper.
