I started another tradition last September: drawing a dragon related wallpaper for my dragon-loving wife’s desktop computer. Like last year, I used Sketchbook Pro on my Samsung Tablet (which has now been replaced), and due to layer restrictions based on canvas size and resolution, I had to work on this in multiple different files and then combine them all at the end. Not a great work flow, but as I mentioned, I have a new iPad Pro and Procreate to play with for next year…

Despite the hassle, I’m pretty pleased with the way this turned out. The whole thing was done almost exclusively using the pencil tool, which gives it some nice, subtle texture.
