INKTOBER 2022 Day #14: EMPTY.

Okay, I think I managed to go outside the box a little with this prompt interpretation. PMD is emptying his laser bananas (TM) into some unseen threat…or just because it’s fun. The whole laser banana (TM) thing first showed up in 2014 on a card I made for my best friend’s daughter’s high school graduation. I don’t remember why I thought of it, but everything else my Brain does is pretty random, so there probably wasn’t a reason. More recently, I drew PMD diving through the air similar to this, firing his laser bananas (TM) in my little Inside Toby’s Brain comic when PMD was telling me he wanted to be in a video game.

Among a bajillion other ideas, I do have several ideas for video games. At least one would feature PMD, and I have a fun list of potential weapons he might have. There would be a plunger lightsaber, a squid canon, a plunger storm spell, and of course, laser bananas (TM).

I had a lot of fun drawing this one. The dynamic pose was interesting to me, and I like some of the subtle little “gags” I put in there (like him “yelling” via a sign held in his tail and the laser banana (TM) sound effects). I have a hard time ever saying I’m happy with something, but I will say I feel good about this one.
