INKTOBER 2022 Day #18: SCRAPE.

This was yet another prompt I struggled with. There were a lot of different directions I could have gone in, and more came to mind as I was working on this one. But, at the end of the day, I had to pick one and go with it. I’m not great at it, but I really enjoy wood working and carving. I particularly like working with hand tools-hand saws, chisels, carving knives, hand planes, etc. It’s very satisfying and almost meditative to carve away at a piece of wood, creating paper thin peels and leaving a smooth, glassy surface. Drawing PMD carving a giant wooden plunger, in addition to being amusing to me, reminds me that I don’t yet own a proper draw knife like he’s using. I don’t know that I have a need for one, unless I follow through with one of my many dreams and build a log cabin/tower in the woods. But also, sharp things are cool.
