Project Description
Inktober 2022 Day #23: BOOGER.
I can’t believe I made it to prompt 23 before making a Calvin and Hobbes reference. There is a classic strip of Calvin exiting his house, dressed for the snow. He makes it one step before making a crazy face, covers his nose, and asks “don’t you hate it when your boogers freeze?”
I have always drawn a great deal of inspiration from Bill Watterson and Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin’s unfettered imagination really resonated with me, as did the humor and of course, Watterson’s brilliant ink skills. He could communicate so much, with such life and energy, with just the right amount of lines. Compared to some of the other illustrations I’ve done this Inktober, this one was a relatively “simple” one, but I had a ton of fun working on it.
Please let me know what you think, it makes my brain happy.
