INKTOBER 2022 Day #26: (ALTER) EGO.

PMD is my alter ego. Or maybe I’m his alter ego. That’s become a bit of a grey area…

I had zero ideas for the prompt. The definition conjured nothing. Doing image searches was uninspiring. Then I decided to search for phrases with the word ego in it. Large ego. Bruised ego. Then I saw alter ego. It was a perfect twist on the prompt for me, not only because of it’s connection to the super hero comics I grew up loving and collecting, but also because I have been saying for a long time that Plunger Monkey is like my alter ego. He is the manifestation of the crazier parts of my Brain. The goofy, the zany, the whimsical, the uninhibited, the expressive. All the aspects I have felt I had to control or tamp down because of work expectations (back when I had real jobs), being a parent, or just being self-conscious. He is my avatar and my outlet.
