INKTOBER 2024 Day #31: LANDMARK.
“There are a ton of famous landmarks and locations I would love to be able to go see some day (but I won’t try putting plungers on them because I don’t want to get arrested in a foreign countries). I have always been fascinated with art and architecture from antiquity, the older and more mysterious, the better. I wonder what the lives of the people were like when that art was made or that structure was built. I wonder what they thought of those things, or if they knew they would be so significant and would intrigue and sometimes baffle people hundreds if not thousands of years in the future. Did they even think those things would be around centuries later? It’s kind of interesting to think about how these objects are a direct connection to the people that created them in the past. I wonder if anything I have or will create will still be around or remembered in even just a hundred years. I doubt it, but it would be neat if it did. It would be cool to have a lasting, and hopefully positive, impact on humanity.
Of course I do realize that’s a borderline arrogant or narcissistic thing to write, and it’s definitely kind of an absurd thought coming from someone that spends so much time drawing a monkey with a plunger on his head. But hey, maybe if everyone were a bit more like Plunger Monkey the world would be a better place. Or something.”
