INKTOBER 52 2023 Day #37: FEAR.

“Much to learn, Plunger Monkey still has? I should think that by this point, my love for Star Wars and its influence on me as an artist as well as a person is pretty well established. In all of Star Wars (movies, shows, books, comics, games, etc), two of my favorite characters are Obi Wan and Yoda. As someone who has spent a lot of time being self-reflective since a young age, Yoda’s space-Buddah aphorisms have always resonated with me. And yes, a lot of the Jedi philosophy and Yoda’s sayings are influenced by Buddhism, but it’s all packaged in a wonderful, fantastical mythology that entertains but also causes one to think. There are certainly worse philosophies or ideologies one could live their life by than the pontifications of a 900-year-old Muppet with superpowers.

And for the record, I would love to be able to go back and watch Yoda draw his lightsaber and dual Count Dooku in ‘Attack of the Clones’ for the first time again. What an epic, goosebump-inducing moment for any true Star Wars fan.”
