In addition to Bill Watterson, I’ve been drawing inspiration from the likes of Frank Cho and Nate Van Dyke. I love what they do with contour lines vs interior/”detail” lines and particularly Nate’s brand of creating textures, volumes, and half tones. I’m not fully employing some of what I’m learning yet, but the inspiration is there none-the-less.
