Mother’s Day 2004

The initial sketches trying to figure out the characters and composition.

This is the first, hand drawn, Mother’s Day card I made for my wife after the birth of our first son. My wife loves dragons, so I started this little tradition of drawing all our kids as cartoony dragons. This is the only card where someone other than the kids shows up (my wife in dragon form), other than our dog from 2013. This was pencil, watercolor, and colored pencil on water color paper.
