My most successful sketch with the new Copic markers and Micron pens so far. This lovely scene is just down the hill, near our duck house. There’s a stream just behind the rock and tree, the forest is on the other side of it. There were moments where I felt I channeled Bill Watterson just a tiny, tiny bit while trying to brush in the abstraction of the woods in the back ground. At least, that’s what I had in the back of my mind while I was looking at the view and trying to capture it somehow without painstakingly drawing every leaf.
